    Owner, Head Guide; AMGA MPI/SPI, SOLO WFR/CPR

    Grew up exploring the woods in the Northeast. Moved to explore the country and settled in Southeast. With a decade of leading outdoor guided trips (climbing, backpacking, low/high ropes), and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Trevor supports learners from all backgrounds in exposed terrain.

    Catch him at the local climbing gyms, Contra dance halls, coffee shops, or wandering the woods! Say hi!

    Renata Calmon

    Senior Guide, Program Director, AMGA MPI, WFR/CPR

    Renata Calmon found her calling for climbing on the cliffs of her homeland in Brazil. Her passion led her to create the film "Women are Mountains," celebrating female climbers and showcased worldwide. Driven by a desire to deepen her expertise, Renata pursued guiding education in the United States, ultimately earning her an AMGA Multipitch Instructor certification.

    Renata's adventures have taken her across the globe, climbing the peaks of Mexico, Patagonia, Thailand, Spain, Greece, Italy, Morocco, and the diverse landscapes of the USA. Her heart beats for the thrill of trad climbing, the challenge of cracks, and grand objectives. For Renata, climbing is more than a sport—it's a way to feel accomplished and empowered, and to connect with different cultures, landscapes, and people.

    Joel McCombs

    Senior Guide, AMGA SPI, WMI WFR, NREMR

    Originally from Chattanooga, TN, Joel discovered his passion for climbing early on. Joel first gained certification in 2007 and has been committed to honing his craft ever since. Joel holds a Masters Degree in Outdoor Programming, has managed climbing programs for NC Outward Bound, worked as a rope access technician and volunteers for mountain rescue. When he's not climbing, Joel enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking, mountain biking, and floating rivers.

    Ben Wolf

    Medical Director, D.O.

    Ben is an internal medicine osteopathic physician with a passion for the outdoors. An avid climber, trail runner, and canyoneer, he brings a deep understanding of wilderness medicine and athlete health to his role as Medical Director. With a commitment to safety and adventure, Ben ensures that guides and clients are prepared for the challenges of the vertical world.
